The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built Jama Masjid in 1648. He built Jama Masjid for his favorite Jahanara Begum. Jama Masjid is also known as Jami Masjid or Friday Mosque. It is made of red sandstone and embellished with white marbles. It is famous as the largest mosque in India and is situated near Agra Fort. You can visit Jama Masjid at any time of the day.
